This species is relatively widespread, occurring in a number of large protected areas, and is not subject to any major threats. Habitat loss is minimal within its range. It is therefore assessed as Least Concern.

Distribution

Endemic to South Africa, occurring in the central-western Eastern Cape and adjacent regions of the southern Northern Cape and northeastern Western Cape (Bates et al. 2014).

The population is inferred stable and not fragmented as there is very little habitat loss within its range.

There are no major threats to this species.

This species is not known to be utilized in any way.

The range coincides with some protected areas. No conservation actions are recommended.
