 This species is fairly widely distributed in mostly undisturbed mountainous country. There is no evidence of population declines. This species is considered as Least Concern.

Distribution

Endemic to the Western Cape, South Africa, inhabiting the northern Cape Fold Mountains, from Kliphuis-Heuningvlei in the Cederberg in the north to Keeromsberg in the south (Visser 1984, Bates et al. 2014).
