Distribution

This species has been recorded from South Africa to Ethiopia, and it also occurs in Madagascar. It is never common but likely to occur in all countries in between the mentioned countries. In northeastern Africa, it is known from Ethiopia and Kenya. In southern Africa, this species is known from Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia, and its presence in Angola is currently uncertain (no localities are known).
